Personality reflected by the way you dressed, people said. But, don't you think it will be sooooo boring if you dressed like others? By saying this, ZZ means that you are only following the trend.

You might say, what is wrong with following the trend? Well, there is no right or wrong in this matter. But guys and gals, if you do so, you will only be a trend follower and not a trend maker.

Put this picture in your head, you were wearing your expensive clothes while you were walk around the mall. Then, suddenly you saw somebody wearing the exact same clothes as you wear. Oh My GOD!! Wouldn’t that the most embarrassing moment? If that's really happen to you, ZZ suggests you to dissappear as soon as possible. That is so pathetic!

If you want to be unique, extraordinary, the one and only you, try to make your own trend. It means, break the rules! You don't have to be a rich person first to be a trendsetter. It's really not about the price, it's the STYLE!

Why don't you give flea market a try? Hmm...sounds pretty weird huh? Tell you what, in this place, you could find anything that you want, with cheaper price! It is a pleasure place to hunting strange, miraculous clothes and absolutely different from other people.

Try to visit Gembong market and Tugu Pahlawan, two famous flea market in Surabaya. In these places, you can find any kind of clothes. Looking for gothic, punk, emo, British, old school, or Harajuku style? Definitely Gembong market and Tugu Pahlawan is the right place. So many styles of outfits are available here.

What you need to know is all the clothes there are secondhand. Mostly, the clothes was imported from East Asia. Then, don't be shocked if you find famous brands like Giordano, Bossini, Baleno, Pierre Cardin, DKNY, etc.

If you really want to shop here, there are few things you have to know. First, your sense of fashion. You must be extra selective and extra thorough when you choose clothes. If you found a torn piece or a dirt spot, you must reconsider it. Unless, you pretty sure the dirt can be removed by detergent.

The second is that you must have bargain power. Bargain the price less than a half from the trader offer. If they want Rp 25.000 for the clothes, you must ask for 8.000. If you were tough enough, you could get the clothes for Rp 10.000 only.

After you get your clothes and bring it at home, don't forget to wash the clothes with hot water. It help to kill the microbe (you don’t know where the clothes come from. We don't want to gamble your health, rite?).

ZZ guarantee, you will be thrifty a lot of money and get dressed uniquely. Dare to be different is a choice. Just be yourself with your own style and you might be a trendsetter. Interesting? Gembong market opens everyday, start from 9 AM until 4 PM. Tugu Pahlawan opens just on Sunday from 5 AM until 9 AM. (jaq/pOe)
